Christmas Tree Lighting 2019

Please join us for some holiday music and cheer, as we celebrate the holiday season with the annual lighting of our amazing, giant Christmas tree! Sing along to holiday carols, which will be performed by Mansfield ISD Pre-K and Early Literacy Academy Students. Take pictures with your family in our Christmas village, Tots Town. A special guest will light the tree, & there will be free hot chocolate and cookies for all! A food truck will be on site so you can purchase treats for your little ones. It’s fun for the entire family!

Colors for Caring Mondays

Mansfield ISD is encouraging the community to wear a color that represents a cancer that affected the life of a loved one during Colors for Caring Mondays.

The Colors for Caring days for 2019-20 are:

  • Monday, September 9
  • Monday, October 7
  • Monday, November 4
  • Monday, December 2
  • Monday, January 13
  • Monday, February 3
  • Monday, March 2
  • Monday, April 6
  • Monday, May 4

View a cancer color chart here. (Not every cancer has a specific color designation, so multicolor or lavender can be worn to recognize those cancers.)

The Colors for Caring initiative was implemented by Superintendent Dr. Jim Vaszauskas in 2015 after the support he received during his bout with thymoma cancer.
