Pre-K & Kindergarten Roundup

Pre-K kids in classroom setting

If your child will be entering pre-kindergarten or kindergarten during the 2021-22 school year, be sure to get them enrolled during Pre-K & Kindergarten Roundup starting April 1, 2021.

Facebook Live Informational Meeting

Mansfield ISD will host a Facebook Live informational meeting on Monday, March 22 at 6 p.m. for all parents interested in learning more about our pre-kindergarten and kindergarten programs. MISD elementary teachers and administrators will discuss the program, speak about requirements and take time to answer questions live.

Registering for School

Registration for your pre-k or kindergarten student can be completed online or through an in-person appointment at your child's campus starting on April 1. While online enrollment is strongly encouraged, we understand that some may not be able to complete everything online (i.e. - those needing assistance turning in documents virtually; those needing to complete the qualification process for free Pre-K).

  • STEP 1: Enroll your child online (required for every registrant)

  • STEP 2 (only if needed): Call to request an in-person appointment April 1  (only for registrants needing a face-to-face appointment)
    • In-person appointments, held at the child's home campus, are primarily scheduled for those needing to qualify for free Pre-K and those having difficulty submitting documents online or via email.
    • Health protocols will be in place for all in-person appointments. Prescreenings will be conducted before attendees can enter the building and face coverings will be requested and social distancing guidelines must be adhered to while in the building.

Required Documents for Registration

  1. Student’s Certified Birth Certificate (Order a certified birth certificate at Texas.gov)
  2. Student’s Shot Record
  3. Student’s Social Security Card
  4. Proof of Residency in the form of a current (within last 30 days) electric, gas, water bill or lease agreement. (No other documents will be accepted).
  5. Parent/Legal Guardian’s Government Issued Photo Identification

(NOTE: Pre-K students must be 4 years old by Sept. 1 and meet certain eligibility requirements.)

Campus Tours

Campus tours will be administered by appointment only after school hours when students are not in the building. Teacher "meet and greets" will be available during Meet the Teacher events regularly scheduled in August. Please contact your child's campus for specific details.

Does Your Child Need a Required Vaccine?
