Back-to-School Bash

The community is invited to a day of family fun during the district's annual back-to-school bash on Saturday, Aug. 3.

Mansfield ISD will host its annual back-to-school bash on Saturday, Aug. 3 from 7:30 a.m. to noon at the Dr. Jim Vaszauskas Center for the Performing Arts (1110 W. Debbie Lane, Mansfield, Texas 76063).

The Bash will officially kickoff the start of the 2024-25 school year. In addition to a wide variety of activities and games, there will be school supplies, student health services and more—completely free of charge for all Mansfield ISD students.

Through various sponsorships and donations, the district is able to provide backpacks and shoes. Our goal is to give away more than 5,000 backpacks filled with school supplies as well as 1,500 pairs of shoes at this year's event. The money raised will be used to buy the items that will be distributed at the bash.

If you are interested in helping us reach our goal, please consider making an online donation or becoming an event sponsor. If you'd like to join us as a vendor, space is $300 and each vendor receives a table and two chairs. Register here.

Event Overview

SHUTTLES

To help alleviate traffic congestion, free shuttles will be running throughout the event at Legacy High School and Summit High School to transport participants to and from The Bash. Shuttles will begin at 7:15 a.m.

An event day map will be provided to help families locate all of the free services and activities, including student performance times and campus locations, being offered at The Bash. 

FREE SERVICES
At the bash, backpacks, school supplies, shoes and health services will be provided free of charge to MISD students.

No registration is required, but families will be required to check in for the backpacks, school supplies, health services and shoes. Parents/students should be ready to provide the student’s ID number on the day of the event for verification. In order to receive a pair of shoes, students must be present on the day of the event.

VENDOR BOOTHS
Community groups and businesses that wish to provide relevant services, products and information to attendees have the opportunity to occupy a booth at the bash. Booth space is limited and will be filled on a first come, first serve basis. CAMPUS ACTIVITIES
Each campus will be in attendance with fun activities like bounce houses, obstacle courses and more to interact with our MISD families. In addition, a variety of student performances will be held in the Performing Arts Center. This will be an opportunity for parents/guardians and students to meet with the campuses they will attend and see some of the many programs Mansfield ISD has to offer.
