Back-to-School Bash

Back to School Bash 2026 Flyer

Join us Saturday, Aug. 1, for the 11th Annual Back to School Bash!

The district is hosting its annual back-to-school event from 7:30 a.m. to noon at the Dr. Jim Vaszauskas Center for the Performing Arts. 

Bash Information:

  • The entire event is located at The Center at 1110 W. Debbie Ln.
  • Students will be required to be in line to receive backpacks or school supplies. Limit of 4 backpacks per family.
  • We are distributing backpacks and school supplies inside our district training rooms, and the entrance will be through the public entrance lobby on the west side of the building. A map of the event will be located on this page day of the event.
  • The shoe giveaway is now located inside The Center’s Performance Hall, and the line begins on the east side of The Center.  Students are still required to be in line to receive shoes. Limit of 2 pairs per family.

 

MISD's Back to School Bash is a fun-filled, family-friendly event with games, bounce houses and other entertainment combined with the health services students need to go back to school. We are celebrating 11 years of partnering with our community to give back to our students! Our goal is to prepare our students to start the new school year.

Through sponsorships and donations, Mansfield ISD provides backpack, school supplies and brand new shoes for Mansfield ISD students—completely free of charge! Students must be present to receive a backpack, school supplies and shoes. We also offer sports physicals, immunizations and eye and dental exams.

If you are interested in helping us reach our goal, please consider making an online donation or becoming an event sponsor. The money raised will be used to purchase items distributed at the Bash and to provide health services.If you'd like to join us as a vendor, space is $375 and each vendor receives a table and two chairs. Event Overview

SHUTTLES

To help alleviate traffic congestion, free shuttles will be running throughout the event from Legacy and Summit High Schools to and from the Bash. Shuttles will begin at 7:15 a.m.

An event day map will be available online to help families locate all of the free services and activities, including student performance times and campus locations. 

FREE SERVICES
At the Bash, backpacks, school supplies, shoes and health services will be provided free of charge to MISD students. No registration is required.

VENDOR BOOTHS
Community groups and businesses that wish to provide relevant services, products and information to attendees have the opportunity to occupy a booth at the bash. Booth space is limited and will be filled on a first-come-first-served basis. CAMPUS ACTIVITIES
Parents, guardians and students can meet administrators and staff from their school. Our MISD campuses will be at Back to School Bash with fun activities like bounce houses, obstacle courses, prize wheels and more. Not a MISD family yet? ENTERTAINMENT
Fine Arts students will perform throughout the event outside the Performing Arts Center.
