Staff Development Credit Equivalency
All professional employees may earn Staff Development Credit Equivalency (SDCE) for participation in professional development activities approved by your supervisor. MISD professional employees supporting curriculum, instruction and assessment must earn twelve hours of SDCE credit annually.
Summer Curriculum Conference
The MISD Vision 2020 Summer Curriculum Conference will be held on June 1-5, 2020 at Legacy High School.
The conference, free for all MISD employees, will give staff the opportunity to continue their quest for knowledge and earn SDCE/CPE credit hours.
Sessions will include courses on the core subject areas as well as AVID, English language learners (ELL), special education and other content-specific areas to further your professional development.
Registration opens online via Eduphoria on Monday, May 4 at 5 p.m. The deadline to register is May 19, 2020.Not an MISD employee? Out-of-district teachers are welcome to attend the conference. The cost is $25 and can be paid using the following forms of payment:
- Credit and/or debit card (additional fees apply)
- Personal check (payable to MISD Dept of Instruction)
- Money order (payable to MISD Dept of Instruction)
No cash, refunds or substitutions will be allowed.

If you have a training event that takes place during the school day AND requires a substitute, fill out the Professional Development Planning Form.
