Staff Development Credit Equivalency
All professional employees may earn Staff Development Credit Equivalency (SDCE) for participation in professional development activities approved by your supervisor. MISD professional employees supporting curriculum, instruction and assessment must earn twelve hours of SDCE credit annually.
Mansfield Training of Professionals (MTOP)
Mansfield Training of Professionals (MTOP), the district's orientation program for new professional staff, will be held at the MISD Center for the Performing Arts on:
- August 3 - 5, 2021 | 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
- August 6, 2021 | 8:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Teachers, counselors, nurses, librarians and any other professional staff positions, should register for MTOP here.

Summer Curriculum Conference
The MISD Summer Curriculum Conference will be held June 3-4, 2021. Most sessions are virtual, but some departments are offering limited in-person opportunities.
The courses, free for all MISD employees, will give staff the opportunity to continue their quest for knowledge and earn SDCE/CPE credit hours. Sessions include courses on the core subject areas as well as AVID, English language learners (ELL), special education and other content-specific areas to further your professional development.

Professional Development Calendar
Professional development begins with a week of preparation for all teachers and support staff before the official start of school. For the 2020-21 school term, teachers and all support staff will report back to work on Monday, Aug. 3.
