Staff Development Credit Equivalency

All professional employees may earn Staff Development Credit Equivalency (SDCE) for participation in professional development activities approved by your supervisor. MISD professional employees supporting curriculum, instruction and assessment must earn twelve hours of SDCE credit annually.

Professional Development Calendar

Professional development begins with a week of preparation for all teachers and support staff before the official start of school. For the 2020-21 school term, teachers and all support staff will report back to work on Monday, Aug. 3.

Mansfield Training of Professionals (MTOP)

Mansfield Training of Professionals (MTOP), the district's orientation program for new professional staff, will be held virtually for the 2020-21 school term.

  • July 28 - July 30, 2020 | 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
  • July 31, 2020 | 8:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. (T-TESS Training; for brand new teachers and teachers who have never been trained)

Teachers, counselors, nurses, librarians and any other professional staff positions, can get registered for each day of the event via Eduphoria at eduphoria.mansfieldisd.org. NOTE: Participants who register in Eduphoria will receive a course link to the online training. If you are unable to login using your MISD username and password, please call 817-299-4357 for assistance prior to orientation.

Summer Curriculum Conference

The MISD Summer Curriculum Conference, originally scheduled for June 1-5, 2020, has been canceled. In lieu of the in-person event, departments are offering virtual professional development courses.

The online courses, free for all MISD employees, will give staff the opportunity to continue their quest for knowledge and earn SDCE/CPE credit hours.

Sessions will include courses on the core subject areas as well as AVID, English language learners (ELL), special education and other content-specific areas to further your professional development.
