Transition to Teach (T3) Scholarship Program
GO2 Program home
In an effort to grow our own teachers, the Brownlie family and MISD Education Foundation have partnered to create a Transition to Teach Scholarship that will assist in funding Mansfield ISD instructional paraprofessionals who want to become teachers in the area of special education or English Language Learners.
The Brownlie Family/MISD Foundation Transition to Teach (T3) Scholarship Program will allow paras to maintain their instructional paraprofessional position during the day while acquiring their elementary teacher's certification in the evenings and during the summer.
Mansfield ISD and Tarleton University are also collaborating to develop a cohort program that will meet the needs of MISD and the future supply of aspiring teachers.
All interested Mansfield ISD paraprofessionals must complete the T3 application process in its entirety. Selected individuals will receive additional support through the MISD KEEPS program during student teaching and beyond. Applicants must:
- Currently work in Mansfield ISD as a paraprofessional
- Hold a Bachelor's degree and meet all college acceptance policies
- Desire to be certified in the area of Special Education or English Language Learners
- Have a 2.75 GPA on the last 60 hours of college course work
Limited applications will be accepted. Submit your application for consideration today. Deadline for 2018-19 is Monday, January 7, 2019.
