MISD is committed to financial transparency. We embrace the values of accountability and transparency and view them as important tenets of ethical leadership, as well as legal compliance. We believe an open government is an accountable government. Therefore, our goal is to provide clear, consistent pictures of spending by sharing this information in a user-friendly format that helps taxpayers better understand how their tax dollars are spent.

The following summary data is from the Governmental Funds Statements in the District’s most recent Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) for the year ended June 30, 2017. The Governmental Funds include the District’s primary operating fund (i.e. the General Fund), Special Revenue Funds, Debt Service Fund and Capital Projects Funds. The District’s CAFRs in their entirety are located under Financial Documents.
