Mansfield ISD is opening 20 tuition-based spots for pre-kindergarteners at the Dr. Sarah K. Jandrucko Academy for Early Learners.
The deadline to apply for an open slot at the academy is Friday, Feb. 15.
Students will be selected through a lottery, and children who are selected will be able to start school on Friday, March 1.

MISD’s tuition-based pre-kindergarten program is for children who are 4 years of age on or before Sept. 1 of the current school year and who are not eligible for the Preschool Program for Children with Disabilities (PPCD) or the free federally-funded pre-kindergarten program.
The half-day classes are available in morning (8 a.m. to 11:10 a.m.) and afternoon (12:20 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.) sessions. Meals will be provided for each session. No MISD bus transportation will be provided.
