Absence Fail Notices

Attention all Students,

If you received an absence fail agreement from your assistant principal last week, you need to attend make-up hours after school in the library Tuesday or Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Key Club

The next Key Club meeting will be Wednesday, September 5th. There will be a morning meeting at 7:00 a.m. in room A-337, and an afternoon meeting at 3:00 p.m. in the library. Choose the meeting that works best for you. See you there!

Senior Portraits

We have 180 seniors who have taken or signed up for senior portraits.  Photographers will be her in the library this Saturday.  To schedule your appointment, call Impressionist School Portraits at (972)682-6300.  We want you in the yearbook, don't miss your chance.

Cotton Bowl Game

LRHS vs Waco Midway at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, September 7th

Tickets will be sold until 1:00 p.m. on September 7th

Cash or checks will be the only accepted payment. No debit cards will be accepted for payment.

$6 for Students

$8 for Adults

$10 at the gate for everyone

$10 for parking

Tickets can also be purchased at Newsome Stadium

MISD employee badges and UIL passes will not be accepted.

Library Lunch Passes

You may sign up for passes for the library lunch club in the library.  When a lunch block is considered full no more passes will be assigned.  You may not eat lunch in the library.

Anime Club

Join us this Wednesday to meet other anime aficionados in room E-109 by the cafeteria after school.

Robotics

Are you interested in robotics?  If so, let's meet this Thursday after school in room E-109 for more information.

Girls Basketball Open Gym

Open gym is cancelled for Tuesday, September 4, 2018.

Tennis

Your Lake Ridge tennis team defeated Waxahachie last night 18 to 1.  With the win the team improved to 3-0 in district and 6-1 overall.  Great job team!

Soccer

Open field for boys' soccer will begin this Thursday from 3:00 to 4:15 p.m. on the grass field.  We will hold open field every Thursday until November.

Go Center

The College and Career Center is now open on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays! We can help you with college applications, scholarship searches, SAT/ACT registration, etc. Stop by the room today and scan the QR code on the door for a chance to win a prize!

Wednesdays a UTA counselor will be on hand to support all Lake Ridge students with UTA admissions and questions.

Colors for Caring

Please wear yellow on Monday for Colors for Caring.

Gay/Straight Alliance

If you're interested in joining the Lake Ridge Gay/Straight Alliance, our first meeting is going to be held September 12th from 3:00-4:30 p.m. in room A-328.  We meet every other Wednesday, and we're open to members of all different backgrounds, so please come join us.

Fellowship of Christian Athletes

Our campus FCA will kick off Monday morning during advisory in Coach Allen's room A-112.  Stop by and grab a pass to join Fellowship of Christian athletes.  Everyone is invited.

Cross Country

The Lake Ridge varsity boys' cross country team finished 2nd overall at the Midlothian Invitational. Jacob James medaled, finishing 6th out of 145 runners. Veronica Seder also medaled, finishing 14th out of 118 runners.
