Ballot Box

The unofficial results are in for the Mansfield ISD school board election, which took place on May 7. Four seats were up for election.

The Place 4 seat was won by Keziah Valdes Farrar with 56% of the votes. Bianca Benavides Anderson won 51% of the votes for the Place 5 seat, and Courtney Lackey Wilson finished the race for the Place 7 seat with 57% of the votes.

There will be a runoff election between the top two finishers of the Place 3 race since none of the candidates received a majority (more than 50%) of votes. Dr. Benita C. Reed and Craig Tipping will be in the runoff, which will be held on Saturday, June 18.

Results are not official until votes are canvassed. The canvassing of votes will occur on May 17 at a called board meeting.
