The September board meeting originally scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 22, has been postponed and will now take place at 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 28.

As the district prepared the meeting agenda and worked to ensure all required posting guidelines were followed, an error inadvertently occurred during the agenda upload process. The district immediately contacted the Texas Education Agency (TEA) for guidance after identifying the issue.

For transparency, the agenda was initially posted on Sept. 17, prior to the required 72-hour posting deadline. However, the agenda was mistakenly removed and re-uploaded the following morning. Although agenda updates may continuously be made after the initial posting, the removal and subsequent re-upload of the full agenda resulted in the district missing the required posting window. The district recognizes this as human error and has implemented additional measures to help prevent a similar issue from occurring in the future.

The September board agenda will post soon, and the meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 28.

District and staff recognitions will take place during the rescheduled meeting. Individuals who previously signed up to speak during September’s public comment period will automatically remain on the speaker list for the rescheduled meeting. 

Meetings are held at the Dr. Jim Vaszauskas Center for the Performing Arts, located at 1110 W. Debbie Lane, Mansfield, TX 76063.
