Mansfield ISD recognizes October as National Bullying Prevention Month. The district is dedicated to stopping bullying before it starts by teaching students how to relate to one another and build connections with their peers.
Through Mansfield ISD’s Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) program, students in grades Pre-K through 12 learn about self-awareness, social awareness, responsible decision making, self-management and relationship skills.
“Social and emotional learning lessons are designed to build relational capacity and connectedness among students to create a safe and trusting environment,” said SEL Director Mendy Gregory. “This lowers the chances of bullying and other inappropriate behaviors.”

Additionally, the district offers This Is Our House, a webpage that’s a one-stop shop to provide anti-bullying resources and a bullying reporting link. For more information, visit the This Is Our House webpage.
