MISD to Offer In-Person and Online Learning Options for Fall 2020

More in-depth information was provided on Tuesday, July 14 following the guidance that was released by the Texas Education Agency (TEA). View the web page below for details.

Mansfield ISD parents and guardians will be able to choose whether to enroll their child for in-person instruction or virtual instruction for the start of school on Wednesday, Aug. 12.

IN-PERSON INSTRUCTION
In-person instruction will consist of a safe environment that is in alignment with local health protocols. Social distancing will be adhered to as much as instructionally possible. Safety precautions will also be taken for school bus services.

Those wanting to choose in-person instruction may proceed with registration as usual. (New student registration for the 2020-21 school year is already open, and returning students will begin the registration process on Friday, July 17.)

VIRTUAL INSTRUCTION
The virtual option, MISD Virtual Learning Academy, will be administered online and consist of daily teacher/student interactive lessons in each subject area.

Those wanting to choose virtual instruction must complete and submit this application no later than Monday, July 20. Parents who choose this option will still need to register their student into school as well. (New student registration for the 2020-21 school year is already open, and returning students will begin the registration process on Friday, July 17.)

The safety and well-being of students, families and staff will remain Mansfield ISD’s top priority. MISD will remain in talks with state and local health officials to ensure the proper health protocols are in place at all times.

Details are subject to change based on guidelines from local, state and federal authorities.
