MISD Seeking Community Members for Anti-bullying Committee

The safety and well-being of students is very important to Mansfield ISD.

To ensure the best social-emotional health for students, the district is establishing an Anti-bullying/Social-Emotional Health for Students Committee.

The purpose of the committee is to study best practices and propose a comprehensive plan that will create protocols, preventions and supports for the students of Mansfield ISD.

The committee’s recommendations will then be reviewed by the MISD Board of Trustees.

For consideration to be a member of the committee, interested parties must be able to attend all meetings, which will be held on Oct. 16, Nov. 6 and Nov. 27 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the MISD Center for the Performing Arts. Only one member per household will be eligible to serve on the committee.

Complete the application form here. The deadline to submit the form is Wednesday, Sept. 12.

The committee will consist of approximately 30 members and three alternates. All eligible submissions will be drawn randomly according to the high school attendance zone of residence to ensure districtwide representation.
