MISD Response to Pending TEA Release of 2023 Accountability Ratings
In 2023, Mansfield ISD joined over 120 other school districts in filing for an injunction regarding the Texas Education Agency’s (TEA) abrupt changes to the accountability system. These changes impacted how TEA evaluated districts, schools, and students. Although a Travis County judge recognized the concerns raised by school districts and ruled in favor of the injunction, on April 3, the 15th Court of Appeals dissolved the injunction, which prevented the release of the 2023 accountability ratings. MISD anticipates the ratings will be released this week. MISD examines the district’s current standing and our students’ progress in the letter linked below.
