To ensure that children continue receiving delicious and nutritious meals throughout the summer, Mansfield ISD will kick off its seventh annual free summer meals program. This year, families can choose one of two ways to receive the meals.

Curbside Meal Bundles

From June 4 through July 30, all kids up to age 18 and adults with special needs up to age 21 can receive free meal bundles from 9:30 to 11 a.m. on Tuesdays and Fridays. (Three breakfast meals and three lunch meals will be provided on those days.)

The curbside food distribution sites are:

• Glenn Harmon Elementary School, 5700 Petra Drive, Arlington, TX 76017
• D.P. Morris Elementary School, 790 Tin Cup Drive, Arlington, TX 76001
• Della Icenhower Intermediate School, 8100 Webb Ferrell Road, Arlington, TX 76002
• Danny Jones Middle School, 4500 E. Broad Street, Mansfield, TX 76063
• Legacy High School, 1263 N. Main Street, Mansfield, TX 76063

The packaged meals are distributed in a drive-thru fashion. Walkers and bike riders are also welcome to grab a meal to go. Children do not have to be an MISD student to receive the meals, and families can visit any of the participating sites.

If the child is not present, a form of ID or proof of enrollment will need to be presented on site. Examples of ID and proof of enrollment are:

• An official Letter/email from school that shows children as enrolled
• An individual student report cards
• An attendance record from parent portal of school website
• A birth certificate for children not in school
• A student ID card
   

Daily Meal Walk-Up Service

At varying locations from June 1 through July 30, all kids up to age 18 and adults with special needs up to age 21 can receive a daily free meal. Participants can either eat the meal on site or take the food to go. View the locations, dates and times for the walk-up meals below.

The free meals are made possible through the federally funded Summer Food Service Program.
