For the first time, Mansfield ISD has been named to Forbes’ list of America’s Best Midsize Employers. MISD has been recognized as one of Forbes’ best-in-state employers three years in a row, but this is the first time the district has received the national distinction.

“Receiving this honor just affirms to us what we know in Mansfield ISD, that our school district is one of the best places to work not only in Texas but in the entire country,” said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Kimberley Cantu. “We are intentional in creating a culture that is supportive of our employees, and we are grateful that is being recognized.”

MISD joins the top 1% of employers across the nation who received the prestigious recognition. America’s Best Midsize Employers 2023 were identified by an independent survey taken by approximately 45,000 employees working for companies with between 1,000 and 5,000 employees.

Employees were asked to rate their willingness to recommend their own employers to friends and family. Participants were also prompted to evaluate other employers in their respective industries. Based on respondent’s recommendations, Mansfield ISD made the top half of 500 companies across 25 different industry sectors.

“I’m so proud MISD was selected as one of the best places to work in the country, and I’m not surprised,” said MISD Board President Courtney Lackey Wilson. “We focus on providing educational excellence for our students, and that starts with encouraging the best employees to come and stay in MISD. Mansfield ISD truly is a great place to live, learn and teach.”
