MISD Launches Partners in Education Program

More than 100 representatives from the area’s businesses and nonprofit organizations joined district and campus administrators to kick off MISD’s Partners in Education (PIE) Program. The initiative encourages volunteers and mentors to partner with the district in a way that and enhances students’ educational experiences.

The collaborative effort exemplifies MISD’s theme for the year, ‘Stronger Together.’ MISD is asking members of the community to get involved with the district by volunteering at a campus, mentoring a student or partnering with the district on a project or event.

“Our MVP mentor program is positively impacting students’ behavior, attendance and academic performance,” said MISD Superintendent Dr. Kimberley Cantu. “Donating just 30 minutes each week can make a difference in the lives of students.”

Mansfield ISD’s vision is to graduate students who are life, career and college ready, and the district is asking members of the community to join in that process.
