Update on March 12: The UIL boys basketball state tournament has been suspended until further notice due to concerns surrounding the coronavirus (COVID-19). Read the press release.

For the third time in the last four years, the Timberview High School boys basketball team will be making an appearance at the UIL 5A state tournament.

The defending champions beat Burleson Centennial High School with a score of 64-62 on March 7.

Timberview will play in the state championship tournament on March 12-14 at the Alamodome in San Antonio.

The boys will play Wagner High School on March 12 at 7 p.m. If Timberview wins, the team will compete in the state finals on Saturday, March 14 at 3 p.m.

The Timberview High School basketball team were the 5A state champions in the 2018-19 school year. The team won its first state title in 2017.
