Two Mansfield ISD student-athletes have qualified to compete in the UIL Cross Country State Championships.
Summit High School’s Jackson Cichon and Legacy High School’s Ava Crisafulli both advanced based on their performance at the regional meet on Oct. 28.
Cichon was the runner-up in the 6A boys varsity district meet. The high school junior ran a personal best time of 15:24.70 at the regional contest.
Crisafulli, a freshman, was the 5A girls varsity district champion. She placed 14th in the regional meet with a time of 18:39.00.
The runners are now gearing up to participate in the state meet, which will take place in Round Rock on Nov. 9. More information about the state meet is available here.
