MISD Celebrates School Board Recognition Month

January is School Board Recognition Month, and Mansfield ISD proudly honors the men and women who serve as its school board members.

The board members, or trustees, are representatives and advocates who prioritize the needs and interests of students. They work hard to oversee the management of the school district, ensure financial accountability and adopt policies that support the district’s mission and vision.

This past year was especially challenging to maneuver, but the members of the MISD School Board remained focused on navigating to success while safely keeping the education process going amid a pandemic.

“Being a board member is a volunteer position that is an act of love and dedication. Our school board members are invaluable, and I am blessed to be able to work alongside them,” said Superintendent Dr. Kimberley Cantu. “I can confidently say that all of the individuals serving on the MISD School Board do so because they genuinely care for our students and want to best support our staff members. On behalf of Mansfield ISD, I would like to send a heartfelt ‘thank you’ to our board members this month and throughout the year.”
