Mansfield ISD’s Board of Trustees took a critical step forward in its search for a new superintendent by selecting JG Consulting, a national education leadership search firm, to assist in identifying and recruiting the district’s next superintendent.

JG Consulting has extensive experience in K–12 executive searches and a demonstrated commitment to engaging with school communities throughout the hiring process.

“We are excited to begin this critical work,” said Board President Dr. Benita Reed. “As a Board, our greatest responsibility is to select an exceptional leader who reflects our community’s values, shares our commitment to empowering students for the future, and possesses a compelling vision that will guide our district forward.”

This decision follows Superintendent Dr. Kimberley Cantu’s recent announcement of her intent to retire Feb. 28, 2026, completing her sixth year as the district’s leader and top administrator.
