School is out for the summer, but families can continue to support their child’s academic success with various local and online summer reading programs that make literacy fun.
Glenn Harmon Elementary School

The Harmon Elementary library will be open to Mansfield ISD students June 11-27 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Children will be able to enjoy storytime, crafts, reading tutoring and makerspace activities. Please note that an adult must stay with the student during the library hours.
Mansfield Public Library

The Mansfield Public Library provides access to a broad range of information, education and literature for children, teens and adults. Its Summer Reading Club begins June 1. Grand Prairie Public Library

The Grand Prairie Public Library Summer Reading Club launches with a kick-off party on June 1 from 10 a.m. to noon. Attendees can get their face painted, visit space-themed booths with out-of-this-world activities and meet Miles Morales (Spider Man), Skye from Paw Patrol and more.
