Jazmin, a Frontier STEM Academy junior, earned first place in the Educators Rising Moment competition, where she spoke on why she aims to pursue a career in education.

Rory, a Lake Ridge High School junior, earned first place in the Exploring Support Services competition, where he gave a presentation of his experience shadowing someone in educational support services.

In total, eight future educators from MISD advanced to a national contest after taking top honors at the state competition in March.

TAFE is one of the nine Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSO) recognized by the Texas Education Agency. Through Mansfield ISD’s chapter, students have the opportunity to compete in events that build teaching skills, earn scholarships, network, and become college and career ready.
