Future Business Leaders Earn Spot in State Contest

Seven Mansfield ISD students who competed in the Business Professionals of America (BPA) regional competition qualified for the state round.

The students from the Ben Barber Innovation Academy team all placed in the top four spots of their categories. They are now preparing to compete in the Texas State Leadership Conference, which will be held March 4-7 in Dallas.

The sponsor for MISD’s BPA team is Deon Martinez, business teacher at Ben Barber Innovation Academy.

BPA is an organization for students pursuing careers in business management, information technology, finance, office administration and other related career fields. Its missions is to contribute to the preparation of global professionals through the advancement of leadership, citizenship, academic and technological skills.
