Mansfield Independent School District named No. 2 best high school in DFW, No. 3 statewide, No. 33 nationally. 

Mansfield, TX — Frontier STEM Academy has earned the No. 2 spot among the best high schools in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, according to the 2026–2027 U.S. News & World Report Best High Schools rankings. 

The recognition places Frontier among the highest-performing public high schools in the region ranking No. 3 in Texas and No. 33 nationally. U.S. News evaluated nearly 18,000 public high schools nationwide for this year’s rankings. 

“The achievement reflects the dedication and hard work of Frontier students, teachers, staff and families. Their commitment to academic excellence continues to make Frontier a standout school in Mansfield ISD and across the DFW area,” said Superintendent Tiffanie Spencer, Ed.D. 

Frontier’s ranking reflects strong academic outcomes, including a 100% graduation rate and a 95.7 college readiness score. These results highlight the campus’ commitment to preparing students for success in college, career and beyond. 

The rankings are based on six key measures of academic performance and student success: college readiness, state assessment proficiency, state assessment performance, underserved student performance, college curriculum breadth and graduation rate.
