DECA is an organization with the goal of preparing emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the world. The high school division includes 220,000 members in 3,700 schools.

Congratulations to Himadri Nath, Niladri Nath and Dung Nguyen from Timberview High School for a top finish in the Project Management Business Solutions category.

There were also four alternates who may be called up to the international competition in their respective categories: Logan Kincade (Mansfield High School), Connor Green (Mansfield High School), Austin McCay (Legacy High School) and Thomas Templeton (Lake Ridge High School).

All of the students competed on the Ben Barber Innovation Academy Team, which is led by Casey Crow, Leslie Waldson and Natalie Wilson.

The international competition will place virtually from April 23 through May 6. DECA expects to host 20,000 total attendees from around the globe at the event.
