Community Meetings with the MISD School Board

In an effort to promote more two-way conversations between the Mansfield ISD School Board and the community, the MISD Board of Trustees will begin hosting town hall meetings and meetings with different community groups throughout the school year.

At these meetings, there will be opportunities for the public to address members of the school board with questions or concerns and receive direct feedback.

The first town hall meeting will occur on Wednesday, Oct. 2 at 6:30 p.m. via Facebook Live. The school board members will be discussing Lone Star Governance and the superintendent search process. Watch the meeting and submit questions by going to www.facebook.com/MansfieldISD.

With this new two-way method of communicating with the school board, board policy BED (Local), which deals with public comments at board meetings, has been updated.

Please note that starting at the Sept. 24 board meeting, all public comments must pertain to an item that is on the meeting’s agenda. If an individual wishes to speak about something that is on the board meeting’s agenda, he or she will have the allotted time to do so. Read more about the policy here.

As always, the community will be able to contact the school board at any time through email, letter, fax and other ways listed on the Board Communication webpage.

We look forward to seeing your participation in these ongoing discussions.
