Board Election Results in Incumbent Win and Runoffs
Ballot Box

The unofficial results are in for the May 1 general election in which three Mansfield ISD School Board seats were on the ballot.

For Place 1, incumbent Michelle Newsom won the majority of votes with 72%. A majority happens when a candidate receives more than 50% of the votes.

There will be a runoff election on June 5 between the top two finishers for Place 2 and Place 4 since none of the candidates took the majority.

For Place 2, the runoff will be between incumbent Desiree Thomas and Yolanda McPherson. The runoff for Place 4 will be between Keziah Valdes Farrar and Corinne Fiagome.

Results are not official until votes are canvassed. The canvassing of votes will occur on May 11.
