It was great to see everyone’s faces at Mansfield ISD’s Back-to-School Bash on Saturday, Aug. 1. Thousands of students and their families gathered for the annual event at the Dr. Jim Vaszauskas Center for the Performing Arts to receive backpacks, school supplies, new shoes, and other services before school starts on Wednesday, Aug. 12.

The district’s community and business partners contributed $115,000 to sponsor the event. More than 90 vendors, sponsors and volunteers provided free sports physicals, dental exams, immunizations and haircuts.

“We are incredibly grateful for the way this community shows up for our students and families,” said Superintendent Tiffanie Spencer, Ed. D. “Our Back-to-School Bash could not happen without our community partners, staff and volunteers who give of themselves to prepare our students for school.”
