Purpose of Robotics Club:  Husky Robotics Club is a program to encourage students to explore and have FUN with the world of STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math). Robotics it is design to give students the opportunity to spark, transform, and grow their skills and interest in a hands-on, collaborative project-based environment of designing robots through various challenges. Robotics is more than just building robots and making them move! It challenges students to develop valuable life skill such as problem-solving, communication, collaboration, teamwork, and so much more. Students will use LEGO Mindstorms EV3 robotic kits/software to build and program robots. Students this year will have the to opportunity participate in competitions on campus.
It is our hope that the students will also have opportunity to attend and see the First Lego League (FLL) Regional Championship! Hopefully, this will continue to grow their interest in robotics and they would want to be a part of either of the organizations’ competitions in the future. Our Husky Robotics Club will be using First Lego League (FLL)’s First Core Values to drive our values and guide our learning.
