Daily Announcements for the Week of 5/13

STAAR EOC scores should be posted to the Texas Assessment website by 5/31. Directions for accessing these scores can be found in the following attachment. For students that did not pass one or more EOC tests, they will have an opportunity to retest the week of June 24-27. If they are unable to test at that time, they will retest in December. Emails will be sent to the students and parents with information on how to sign up for the summer retests.

Track/ Jasmine Moore

On Saturday May 11th, Jasmine Moore competed in her last high school state track meet. She left Austin the most decorated high school jumper in history. Jasmine not only won the long and triple...again...but set a national high school competition record, & a state meet record in the triple jump. Jasmine's state track meet medal collection now includes 9 golds, 3 silvers, 1 bronze, one team title and a championship ring as well as 1 state record, a national freshman record, two national sophomore records, a national junior class record, and she is only getting started in her jumps career. You will certainly see her for years to come. We will miss you Jasmine, not for your gold medals and guaranteed 20 points at meets, but for the team-oriented, self-less athlete you have been for your team. You represented your family, and Lake Ridge well. Best of luck to you!

Special Olympics

David Wallis and his team won bronze at the SOTX Track meet.
