Career Cruising

Career Cruising is a course-planning, career-planning and life-planning software designed with one goal in mind - equipping our students for the future. 

Mansfield ISD constantly seeks to better equip our students for success not only during their time at MISD, but in their post-secondary endeavors as well. Career Cruising is an outstanding support tool for our Future You students and will assist students, parents and counselors as they plan for their future.

Who is it for?
Beginning in 8th grade, students will have access through their Career Pathways course.

What will it do?
Students will begin to explore their interests and chart a course to achieve their personal goals using ccPathfinder. With a few clicks, it will help them set up a complete 4-year program of courses in perfect alignment with their graduation requirements and career aspirations.

How will it help me?
ccPathfinder’s interactive course planning dashboard lets students see which courses they have successfully completed and clearly displays which ones they need to take to stay on track for high school graduation and certification programs. Problems are flagged instantly and successful pathways to graduation are highlighted. Students can also export their course selections into Skyward. Result? Less stress all around.

Career Pathways Course
Students will explore the array of high school courses available and their individual career interests as they prepare for higher education or a career in this semester course. The capstone event of this course is to create an initial four year plan for high school.
