District-Issued Devices

Mansfield ISD provides devices for students grades PreK-12 to be used for educational purposes while enrolled in our school district.

All MISD students are provided devices and accounts to access the district’s network and the internet to execute coursework during student learning as well as communicate and collaborate with teachers and other students. All grade levels are also supplied with hot spots if an internet connectivity need is determined.

Devices are issued to students through an annual distribution schedule directed by the MISD Technology Department. Devices types by grade level are as follows:

  • PreK-Grade 1: iPads
  • Grades 2-12: Chromebooks
    • Grades 2-4 devices remain in the classroom.
    • Grades 3-12 STEM/Choice students receive laptops.
  • STEM Students: Laptops

Although students do not need to use a district-owned device, it is recommended. Personal student devices with an Internet connection can be used to access all programs and apps needed for learning. Students who use a personal device will be provided with a district-owned device for state testing.

(All families that opt-in to the Optional Device Protection Program will see the fee posted within their child's Skyward Student account. Fees must be paid before your child’s district-issued device is covered.)
