ACE After-School Program

Afterschool Centers on Education header

Texas Afterschool Centers on Education (ACE), a grant funded program known as the Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Centers (CCLC) at the federal level, is an out-of-school time program administered by the Texas Education Agency.

About ACE

ACE provides high quality supplemental enrichment activities delivered in creative, hands-on and exploratory ways that align with the regular academic day.

The main purpose of this grant-funded, no-cost program is to provide expanded academic services – including homework assistance, tutorials, enrichment activities, college and career readiness and family engagement components – to students in high need areas before and after school as well as during the summer break.

Research has shown positive student outcomes and high academic achievement in programs with regular, long-term student attendance.

Locations & Hours

ACE participants are required to attend a minimum of two hours per day. Students who attend afternoon sessions will be offered healthy snacks. NOTE: The ACE program aligns with the district academic calendar; when students are not in session, ACE is closed.
