Smart Tag
The Transportation Department uses a product called Smart Tag to keep parents informed about their student's transportation status. When a student boards an MISD school bus, the bus driver scans the student's Smart Tag. When students leave the bus, the driver scans their Smart Tags again. All riders will be expected to have a Smart Tag badge to scan as they get on and off their school bus. Smart Tags are available from your student's campus.

To register for the SMART Tag Parent Portal, families must have the following information ready:
- Their child’s student ID number
- Their child’s date of birth
- The school their child attends
