The transfer window closed on February 12, 2026. Applications submitted after this date will be placed on a waiting list. Campuses that no longer appear as choices are closed to additional transfer requests. Applicants will receive an email notification once their application has been reviewed and processed.
MISD resident families may apply to transfer their student(s) to an MISD campus outside their assigned attendance zone. Applications are evaluated on an individual basis in the order they are received. Available space and staffing at the desired campus are key considerations for each request.
Grades Kindergarten — 12
- Transportation: Not provided.
- One Transfer Per Year: Families may submit only one transfer request per student per school year.
- All transfers requests are reviewed in the order received.
- Application Process: Transfer requests for students in grades K-12 who live in the district must be submitted via the application button below.
- Reapplication Not Required: If the student is already on an approved transfer AND plans to continue at the same campus, no new application is needed.
- Verification and Approval: Families will receive email verification of approval or denial for the next school year after their application has been reviewed.
Pre-K Transfers
- Transfer Requests:
- Pre-K students must meet eligibility requirements at their home campus before requesting a transfer.
- Tuition-based Pre-K students do not require a transfer request if remaining at their home campus.
- Transportation: Not provided.
