3 Types of Transfers, 1 Application
Mansfield ISD offers three types of student transfer options—all through one application:

In-District Transfers (in-district residents who wish to transfer from one MISD campus to another)

Employee Child Transfers (children of full-time MISD employees)

Out-of-District Transfers (students who reside outside MISD boundaries)

Transfer to a Different MISD School
Each address in Mansfield ISD is assigned to a designated group of schools to serve students at every grade level. If parents want their child to attend a different school, they must submit a transfer application. Transfer applications open Dec. 1 and close Feb. 1.* Each application is reviewed individually, and several factors determine whether it can be approved. Applications are considered on a case-by-case basis, and several factors determine whether a transfer request will be granted.
*Applications open at 12 a.m. on Dec. 1 and remain open through 11:59 p.m. on Feb. 1.
Work Here, Bring Your Children
Full-time MISD employees may apply to enroll their student(s) in MISD. All transfer applications will open Dec. 1 and close Feb. 1.* Employees may apply for their child to attend a campus in the feeder pattern where they work. For new hires or reassignments, a transfer request must be made within 30 days of hire or the new assignment.
*Applications open at 12 a.m. on Dec. 1 and remain open through 11:59 p.m. on Feb. 1.
Make Mansfield ISD Your Destination
Through the Destination Mansfield initiative, Mansfield ISD welcomes students in grades K-12 who live outside the district's boundaries to apply for an out-of-district transfer to a Mansfield ISD school. Some restrictions apply. All transfer applications will open at 12 a.m. on Dec. 1 and close at 11:59 p.m. on Feb. 1.
