Special Olympics
The mission of Mansfield ISD Special Olympics Delegation is to enrich the lives of students with intellectual disabilities by providing them with opportunities to participate in year-round sports training and athletic competitions in a variety of sports. It is the intention of the MISD Delegation to offer athletes the opportunity to participate in a variety of sports based on their interests and abilities.

Special Olympics Handbook Transitioning: School-based to Adult Special Olympics
Athletes must be eight or above to participate and have a current Special Olympics Physical on file with the Head of Delegation. Current Sports offered - All sports offer different levels so everyone is able to participate!
Aquatics
Aquatics practices are scheduled from approximately April through October each year.
Basketball
Basketball practices are scheduled from approximately November through May each year.
Bocce
Bocce practices are scheduled from approximately June through October each year.
Bowling
Bowling practices are scheduled from approximately September through February each year.
Cycling
Cycling practices are scheduled from approximately January through May each year.
Tennis
Tennis practices are scheduled from approximately January through May each year. (This sport is currently limited to Middle and High School students)
