Theatre Arts

LHS students perform Eurydice PlayMiddle school theater is the introductory to theatrical art. Students will learn the basics of technical and musical theatre, production, set design, character development and physical representation. Students may audition for the middle school One Act Play and perform at the MISD One Act Play Evaluation.

High school theatre arts students are expected to achieve a proficient level of mastery and understanding in audience etiquette and performance evaluation. Additionally, each high school student will actively participate in one or all of the following activities:

  • set design and implementation
  • physical and emotional representation
  • public performance
  • character development and analysis with monologue and duet performance
  • critical evaluations of productions
  • peer direction
