Drill Team Tryout Information

Drill team, offered on each of the MISD high school campuses, is an activity designed to develop sense of positive school and to strive for excellence through the medium of dance.

The Drill Team Handbook

The high school drill team program, guided by the district’s Drill Team Handbook, will commence with a series of orientation meetings, followed by the submission of required documentation at both the district and campus levels by specified deadlines. For your reference, you can review the new Mansfield ISD Drill Team Handbook HERE. The implementation of the new handbook will occur in phases: Phase I will take place during the 2026-2027 school year, Phase II in the 2027-2028 school year, and full implementation will be achieved by the 2028-2029 school year.

Parent Meetings / Clinics & Tryouts

Parent Meetings
Parent informational meetings are held annually to discuss major aspects of the drill team program. While attendance at these meetings is not required, it is strongly encouraged as meetings also cover the application and tryout process and address common questions about the program.
