As a result of the closure of all Mansfield ISD schools for the remainder of the 2019–20 school year, the district has developed an alternative plan to complete cheerleading tryouts. View the new procedures under "Clinics & Tryouts" on the high school cheerleading and middle school cheerleading pages.
Cheerleading, offered at each of our MISD middle school and high school campuses, is an activity designed to develop a sense of good sportsmanship among students and to promote positive school spirit within the student body.
Cheerleading squads generally perform at sporting events to motivate sports teams, entertain audiences and encourage audience participation. Additionally, squads may compete at the local, regional and national level.
Mansfield ISD provides students currently enrolled and in attendance at an MISD middle school or high school campus the opportunity to try out for the cheerleading squad. The tryout process begins with a series of orientation meetings followed by the submission of required documentation at the district and campus level by noted deadlines.
