Library Material Challenges

Mansfield ISD has policies in place to allow our stakeholders to control the content of library material available to our students.
All parents in Mansfield ISD have the ability to receive circulation emails when their student visits the library.  To request circulation emails, please complete this form.
 
Parents also have the ability to place restrictions on library materials their child can check out through the school library catalog or SORA.
  • School Library - Parents wishing to place restrictions on library materials can set up an Additional User Type parent account. 
  • SORA - Parents wishing to block titles in SORA can set up Parental Controls.
To object to an instructional resource/material being utilized on a specific campus in Mansfield ISD, individuals may contact the campus principal to express their concern about the instructional material.
 
To make a formal challenge beyond the campus level, individuals will need to complete the Library Materials Challenge Form for a district-level request for reconsideration.
