Gifted & Talented

A gifted/talented (GT) student is a child who performs at or shows the potential for performing at a remarkably high level of accomplishment when compared to others of the same age, experience or environment and who exhibits high performance capability in an intellectual, creative or artistic area, possesses an unusual capacity for leadership or excels in a specific academic field.

Students who have an identified Gifted learning need will be provided with differentiated instruction, including content exploration with depth & complexity, to ensure they reach their maximum academic and cognitive potential. Students who have an identified Gifted learning need will receive appropriate GT Services at their current MISD campus from high-trained staff and will be clustered with other identified GT students.
