Selecting Courses
To get dual credit (high school credit) the course must be part of our dual credit agreement. View the course guide for list of acceptable classes. If you have questions about course selection, please reach out to your campus counselor.
Adding Courses to Your Transcript
As a district, we will get a report in August of MISD students who took a dual credit class. If a numeric grade is provided (sometimes we only get a letter grade) we will use the numeric grade. If only a letter grade is provided, grades will be converted according to the table below. Students should use the print grade button upon the conclusion of their course to save a PDF of their final TCC Canvas grades. Submit your grade PDF to the high school counselor. If there is a grade discrepancy between the print out and the numeric grade provided on the report, the report will be used. Students not appearing on the report will also need to provide an official transcript. This must be submitted no later than the 1st day of school. Effective Summer 2025, all summer courses will be recorded on the high school transcript. Students may not elect to keep or not keep their TCC grades.
