COVID-19
The Families First Coronavirus Response Act** (FFCRA or Act) expired on December 31, 2020. Mansfield ISD created an opportunity for relief for employees who must miss work due to COVID-19 after December 31, 2020 which also expired June 30, 2022.
Next Steps
Starting July 1, 2022, MISD will no longer provide paid COVID leave to employees who miss work due to COVID-19.
Mansfield ISD will follow the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) communicable disease chart for all communicable diseases.

**The Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA or Act) required certain employers to provide their employees with paid sick leave or expanded family and medical leave for specified reasons related to COVID-19. These provisions only applied from April 1, 2020 through December 31, 2020.
