MISD College Testing Day

Each fall, Mansfield ISD provides free college testing opportunities for high school students. The tests chosen to be administered are among what colleges and other schools use to help determine admissions, areas of aptitude and potential scholarships for students.

College Testing Day 2023 will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 11.  Participation in testing on this day establishes a baseline measurement of college and career readiness and gives students an opportunity to preview the tests.

Testing Day

  • Freshman will take the PSAT 8/9.
  • Sophomores and Juniors will take the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT).
  • Campuses will communicate with Seniors on the assessments activities they will participate in.
  • Starting Fall 2023, per College Board, all students taking the PSAT-related assessments will take the test digitally.
  • College Board will no longer offer a paper and pencil version of all PSAT-related assessments.
  • Students who test with accommodations that require a paper and pencil test will be provided a paper test after College Board approves each student’s accommodations.
