College, Career and Military Readiness
What is CCMR?
The purpose of College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) is to ensure all Texas high school students are well prepared for post-secondary success. The Texas Education Agency (TEA) has defined a set of indicators that students can earn to be considered college, career, or military-ready. Students who meet one of these CCMR indicators are considered “CCMR met.” CCMR readiness indicators include:
- Meet criteria on TSIA2, SAT, or ACT (see graphic below for acceptable scores).
- Advanced Placement (AP) Exam (score 3 or higher).
- Dual Credit (3 credit hours in math or English OR 9 hours of any other course earned in the fall or spring semesters).
- College Bridge (earn 90 or above on Stages 1 and 2 and pass the essay portion of the ELAR). Beginning in 2026, Texas College Bridge can only be earned in grades 11-12, and in 2027 it can only be earned in grade 12.
- Associate Degree: graduate from high school with an Associate Degree.
- Industry-Based Certification: Earn an industry-based certification and be a concentrator in a CTE program of study (class of 2025); earn an industry-based certification and be a completer in a CTE program of study (class of 2026 and beyond).
- Special Education: Graduate with an advanced degree plan (Grad Codes 34 and 35) and an endorsement or graduate with an IEP and workforce readiness (Grad Codes 54 and 55).
- Enlist in the U.S. Armed Forces of Texas National Guard (provide a DD4 form).
