Exploring Single-Member District Process
The Mansfield ISD School Board Is Exploring Transition to Single-Member Trustee Districts
Mansfield ISD is beginning the process of exploring a transition from its current system
of electing all seven Board of Trustees members at-large to a system that includes
single-member trustee districts.

On August 25, 2026, the Mansfield ISD Board of Trustees approved a resolution to initiate the process of evaluating, developing and potentially adopting a single-member trustee district election system. The Board will work with legal counsel and demographic experts as it considers potential district configurations and boundaries.
The purpose of this page is to provide residents with clear, accessible information about the process, proposed maps, opportunities for public input and what a potential transition would mean for Mansfield ISD voters.
Important Note: No final single-member district map or election configuration has been adopted at this time.
