Mansfield ISD respects the copyright of those involved in creating and distributing copyrighted materials. It is the intent of Mansfield ISD that all faculty, staff and students abide by copyright and intellectual property requirements, and any incidental infringement is without the knowledge of Mansfield ISD.
If you believe that any student, staff or faculty has infringed the rights of a copyright owner, please contact the designated Mansfield ISD Copyright Agent (see contact information below). Given proper notice of any infringement, it is the policy of Mansfield ISD to remove or disable access to the material.
In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, Title 17, United States Code, Section 512(c), to be effective, written notification of claimed copyright infringement must be submitted to the Mansfield ISD Copyright Agent and include the following:
- A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed;
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or if multiple copyrighted works at a single online site are covered by a single notification, a representative list of such works at that site;
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity and that is to be removed or access to which is to be disabled, and information reasonably sufficient to permit the service provider to locate the material;
- Information reasonably sufficient to permit the service provider to contact the complaining party, such as an address, telephone number, and if available, an electronic mail address at which the complaining party may be contacted;
- A statement that the complaining party has a good-faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and
- A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that the complaining party is authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.

Demographic Update
House Bill 3 Board-Adopted Plans (Early Childhood and CCMR)
House Bill 3 (HB 3) amends Texas Education Code (TEC) to add Sec. 11.185 and 11.186 to include plans that target early childhood (EC) literacy and math proficiency and college, career, and military readiness (CCMR).
Under HB 3, school boards are required to adopt plans in early childhood literacy and math, as well as college, career and military readiness. View plan requirements.

Notice of Budget and Proposed Tax Rate Public Meeting
A public meeting will be held on June 25, 2024 to discuss the school district's budget that will determine the tax rate that will be adopted. Public participation in the discussion is invited.

Tax Rate Notification
Visit Texas.gov/PropertyTaxes to find a link to your local property tax database on which you can easily access information regarding your property taxes, including information regarding the amount of taxes that each entity that taxes your property will impose if the entity adopts its proposed tax rate. Your local property tax database will be updated regularly during August and September as local elected officials propose and adopt the property tax rates that will determine how much you pay in property taxes.
A property owner may register to receive email notifications regarding updates to the property tax database by following the directions at the following websites in each respective county:

The County Tax Assessor-Collector does not adopt tax rates, determine property values or grant exemptions.
Title IX Formal Complaint Procedures
The following formal complaint procedures are intended to serve as the “grievance process” required by Title IX regulations (34 C.F.R. § 106.45) for responding to formal complaints of sexual harassment, as defined by Title IX.
MISD Title IX Formal Complaint Procedures
These procedures are designed for use in the context of allegations of sexual harassment against a student or employee and should be reviewed in combination with FFH(LEGAL) and (LOCAL) and DIA(LEGAL) and (LOCAL) as applicable.
Unauthorized Persons
Authorized district officials, including district police officers, may refuse to allow a person access to property under the district's control in accordance with law under Texas Education Code 37.101 and Senate Bill 1553.
District officials may request assistance from law enforcement in an emergency or when a person is engaging in behavior rising to the level of criminal conduct.
Under TEC 37.107, the criminal laws of the state apply to the areas under control and jurisdiction of the board. An unauthorized person who trespasses on the grounds of a school district commits a Class C misdemeanor.
